Great Wheel

I took the day off today to goof around with my boys!  Since Josh doesn't have to go work until 3, we took advantage of the morning and the sun and picked up my grandma and headed down to the Great Wheel on Pier 57!  It was very cool!  Very happy I was smart and bought our tickets ahead a time online because the line to buy tickets was insanely long!  We only waited about 10 mins to get onto the wheel!  I'm so happy my grandma came along, I know that she really enjoyed the experience and never would've done it if we hadn't made her go with us!

Pretty sure grandma will be getting her own copy of this beauty!

I'm loving that Seattle has this great attraction!!

Father-Son Weekend

Josh and Zane went on a little adventure this weekend.  Since I was not there I am going to let Zane tell us the who, what, where, when, why, how etc!

Where did you go this weekend? Um, to the farm in Eastern Washington.  {Royal City, WA}
Who did you go with? Daddy
How long did it take to get there? Um, like 5 minutes {more like 2 hours}
Who did you go see? Joe, Michelle and just Caaz and Izzi
What did you do? Um, played with Caaz and Izzi and went to the pond and the lake
What was the weather like? Sunny and bright and hot
What was your favorite part of the trip? Um, riding on a tractor.
Who did you miss while you were gone? You and my brodder, but I really wanted to
stay there. {Yes, Zane does say "brodder" - we're working on that}
Are you happy to be back home? No, I really wanted to stay there and ride the tractors because I didn't get to ride them all.
Is there anything else you'd like to tell me about your trip?  Yeah, um I didn't get to ride my bike because we were having too much fun riding tractors.  It was really fun, I am really surprised.

So there you have it folks, their trip in the words of Zane!

Now we'll let the pictures tell some of the story as well...

Waterland Parade

Josh and Zane are in Eastern WA this weekend having some farm fun so its just Landon and I here!

Today after running some errands and getting lots of sewing and crafting done we headed over to Christina's to join her and Brooklyn at the Des Moines Waterland Parade!  I had NO idea how hot it was supposed to be today - actually, I did watch the news last night and it said mid 60's, cloudy and chance of rain - dead wrong there!  Holy heck!  By the time we got down to the parade all of the shaded spots were taken of course, so we set up camp in the sun.  Since I wasn't prepared for the heat, Landon was in jeans and was just melting in the heat, so I just stripped him down to his diaper (and shirt) - classy I know, but I really had no choice, the poor kid was just dying it was so warm in the direct sun!
Landon is definitely not a lap-child, this kid wants to be on his
own two feet at all times!  I snapped a quick pic and off he went!

Brooklyn and Landon.

Enjoying his very own strawberry smoothie!

I dumped water on his head to help cool him off, he thought it was hilarious
(you'll have to trust me since he's not laughing in this picture)!

Watching the parade (pointing at the fire truck).

Seafair Clowns!!

This Buzz Lightyear clown came over (as I was taking pictures of the clowns)
and literally grabbed Landon out of my arms and said "ooooh, I want to be in the picture".
It was very odd, but of course I had to take a picture.  Landon literally started to scream about
a half a second after I took the picture - guy gave him back really quick then!!

Seafair Pirates - fun treat!

I think these pictures are so cute of him sitting in the chair watching the parade.
You can tell he was getting tired.

Isn't this face priceless!!

Back to Christina's for a quick bath in the sink (with Brooklyn's help)!
He was SO dirty from the parade!

Thomas the Train

We took the kids out to Snoqualmie again this year to ride on Thomas the Train.  Landon was old enough to enjoy it a little more.  He mostly enjoyed everything we did off the train because he was not a fan of not being able to walk around while on the train (our plane ride in September should be a real treat)!

Union Fair

Josh belongs to a union at work - neither of us are big fans of unions (just our opinion, don't challenge us on it), but he doesn't have a choice.  We were however a fan of the union last weekend though when they offered a free "mini" Puyallup Fair to all of its members and their families!  We are fans of anyone who give us fun free things!  Not all of the rides were open, but a lot of the kiddie rides were, so that was perfect for us - best part...no tickets required, yahoo!  We had to wait a little while for a couple of the "bigger" rides for Zane, but all in all it wasn't very busy and the weather was perfect.  I'd say we had a pretty good time at the expense of the union, haha!

A sad picture of the 4 of us.

Landon's first "ride" - he didn't cry, but I think it scared the poop out of him.

Zane on the other hand can't get enough of the rides!!!

Josh and Zane each took a turn in the human hamster-wheel!

This is what we waited the longest for and it was worth it, Zane LOVED it!  We have seen these contraptions in the mall and he's always asked if he could do it, I was never keen on paying $8 for 3 mins of fun, but figured one day I'd give in...now I don't have to, he got to do it for free (thanks again Mr. Union)!
