$5 Fun.

We bought Zane some foam letters to use in the bathtub for Valentine's Day and its been a great $5 investment, the kid can't get enough of them every night!

What a deal!

Our little family took a trip to Joes (formally GI Joes) this afternoon and boy am I glad we did! We went because Josh wanted to look at their gloves and we got some gloves for him and a whole lot more!

All of this for the price of 1 pair of shoes (the ones in the box)!

The shoes were buy one get one FREE (mine were free since they were less expensive). The gloves were on sale from $40 down to $25 and once she rang up the shoes and gloves, she punched in some code and on the screen it read "store coupon -$25"...huh??? Yep, no clue where that coupon code came from, but I'll take it...so you guessed it, the gloves ended up being FREE too! So for $75, we got 2 pairs of shoes and a pair of gloves....saaa-weet!

I guess for this instance alone, I am happy for the crappy economy (only when it works out in my best interest)!

Zane being Zane.

Such a happy boy.

So talented!

Zane is already mastering the skill of "double-fisting" his drinks! Ha ha, milk in one hand and water in the other!

We love sunshine!

I am lucky enough to work for a company that gives us the day off for President's Day! I took full advantage of the day off to spend with my favorite little guy! We ran a few errands and then went outside to play for a little bit. Zane is still fighting a pretty good cold right now, so we just stayed outside for a little bit, but I figured fresh air would do nothing but good for the lil' man!

Happy Valentine's Day.

Dude Looks Like a Lady!

My poor kid!

Josh just spent the last week in New Jersey for work and his plane was due to land in Seattle at 9:30 last night. 9:30 is already way past Zane's bed time, but we were both so excited to see daddy that didn't matter; then Josh's plane kept getting delayed...

Zane and I headed over to Christina & Brooklyn's after work on Friday because they live right by the airport. This was to give us a shorter drive for when Josh's plane came in and also give us two of our favorite people to hang out with and kill time before our short ride to the airport. These plans to go hang out with them were made last minute while I was at work, so I had no "Zane supplies" with me (note to self...keep a diaper bag loaded in the car at all times). So I "borrowed" a couple diapers from daycare and off we went. Josh's plane finally was set to land at 11, now that was really past both Zane & I's bedtime. Brooklyn was nice enough to let Zane borrow a pair of her jammies and let Zane sleep on her Elmo couch until daddy's plane landed! Problem...Brooklyn is a girlie girl who has nothing but purple and pink in her wardrobe; see the result below!

Winding down before bed-time.

Sharing a drink on the couch!

And he's out...

Domesticated.

Brooklyn & Zane playing "house" together. Looks like he's pretty comfortable in the kitchen!

My kitchen helper.

Zane is getting so into wanting to "help" me in the kitchen, its so fun...little messy, but lots of fun! Here he is helping me make brownies tonight.

Bouncy Place.

My good friend Christina is thinking about having her daughter's 2nd birthday party at The Bouncy Place so we took the kids there on Saturday to check it out and see if it was where she did indeed want to have the party. The place is really cool, probably 10 different bouncy "houses" to play in, some bigger than others. I think Zane is still a little too young/small for this place, he sort of got "lost" in the crowd of bigger kids and had more fun playing with a bouncy ball than anything else. He'd do better if it was rented out for Brooklyn's party and only 25 small kids were there I think. Anyway, he had fun nonetheless and I must admit, I had fun too! Its a lot more of a work-out than I had imagined though that is for sure!

Superbowl 2009!

Since our beloved Seahawks weren't able to make their way into the Superbowl this year, we decided to honor them by wearing our Seahawks gear anyway! The Wieser's came over today to keep us company watching the game. We had a lot of yummy food and had a great time watching the game. We decided to root for the Cardinals since we are all anti-Steelers fans! It was a close game and real "nail-biter" at the end, but still the Cardinals couldn't pull it off! Maybe next year the Hawks will make a come-back!

Miles and Zane "watching" the game!

Daddy & Zane eating some yummy food and watching the game.

My beautiful family!

My beautiful family last year watching the game (notice Zane has the same outfit on last year that Miles is wearing this year)! Ahh how much difference a year makes!

Not the baby.

Each time our friends Johnny, Emily & baby Miles come over Zane seems to regress back into "baby-land"!

He can't get enough of Miles' binky, so I always pull an old one out for him to play with while Miles is here, so they aren't sharing!

He sits in Miles' seat for long periods of time each time they come over, its so funny!
