Baby Michael

The boys and I headed over to visit my mom and grandma yesterday and it just so happens that my brother and his little family were headed over too.  I was SO excited to see my nephew - I hadn't seen him since February and that was just too long!  He is so cute!  Such a chunk!  I could've held him all day!  The boys were pretty excited to see their cousin again too!!

Hair Be Gone & BBQ

Saturday was a big day for Zane - I took him in for a little trim and he came out with no hair...well, very little hair!  He decided it wanted it shaved off for the rest of summer!  I was a little hesitant at first, but I must admit - I love it and so does he!  He said he wants it this way forever - we'll see about that - but for now, it's totally fine!

After getting his hair cut we headed over to our friends the Dyk's to help break in their new house and backyard.  Thankfully my kids have no problem making themselves right at home anywhere they go - especially if that somewhere has a pool in the backyard!  Thanks for having us over guys and lucky you or maybe unlucky you that you live so close now...we may see you a lot more now :)

The End {Soccer Camp}

Zane's exciting week of soccer camp came to an end last Friday - he LOVED every second of it and I'm so happy he was able to do it.  The weather was less than desirable on Wed and Thurs, but he plowed through - didn't phase him to play in the pouring rain!  Thankfully Friday was nice again - so I snapped a few photos of his last day out there...now we just need soccer season to start in a couple weeks!

Soccer Camp

Zane is enjoying his first week ever of soccer camp and he is loving every second of it!  He will be going everyday this week for 3 hours and they run these kids hard - they are running for almost 3 hours straight.  He was exhausted last night, but couldn't wait to get up and go again today!

Lake Chelan Mini Vacay

After Slide Waters we headed to my aunt's house and the rest of the weekend was spent in the pool or at the lake!  These boys found their fish fins and didn't take them off until we had to leave today!  All they wanted to do was swim, swim, swim!  It was more fun once their 2nd cousins got there too - mom is only fun for so long!

There isn't much to say about our trip except it was great!  We were sad that daddy couldn't join us (stupid work got in the way), but we are so glad that we went!  The boys were absolute angels in the car, we didn't have to make one pit stop, they just happily watched movies and talked about the scenery the entire way (both ways).  None of the wild fires got in our way or made us have to make any detours - we just cruised right along!  The weather was awesome (90 both days) and the company was fabulous!

Slide Waters

The boys and I went on a little road trip this weekend!  We headed over to Lake Chelan to visit my aunt (who recently retired there) and my cousins who were also headed over.  Since everyone else wasn't planning on getting into town until much later Friday and I had taken the day off work - the boys and I left bright and early in the morning and headed straight to Slide Waters water park!  I was a little nervous at first with the thought of going to a water park with both kids alone - but it ended up being perfect.  The park isn't too big (just big enough); Zane was able to go on every single slide and Landon could go on quite a few by himself and even more if he went with me!  It wasn't too crowded and the weather was perfect - the whole day there was perfect!  Both boys had a blast and couldn't get enough of the park!  Definitely a place we'll be going back to again someday!

Our first stop in town was actually to grab lunch and we also got our first glimpse of the lake!

Zane was such a huge help at the park - always taking Landon up to the "little kid" slide so I could wait in the water below to catch him.  He never complained when I asked him to help me out or to give Landon a chance or two on some slides before we headed over to ones he really wanted to go on. Such a great big brother!

Zane even enjoyed the "little kid" slides himself!  Might as well since he was walking Landon up there anyway!
