After the Egg Drop they headed down to the Burke Museum! We made a Summer Bucket List (more to come on that) and one of the items on there was to go to the Burke Museum (Zane's pick - kid LOVES museums like his daddy). I on the other hand am not a fan of museums at all...so I'm glad they decided to cross this one off the list when I was at work :) Thanks babe!

Egg Drop|Museum Fun
Josh took the boys over to the library last week to take part in an "Egg Drop". The boys had to construct something for an egg to be in and dropped in and hope the egg didn't break! Both boys succeeded!

Bridge
Ever since last year Landon has been asking to walk on this bridge that crosses over I-90. We used to drive under it every day on the way to daycare. I told him last summer that we would try to do it over the summer. That never happened. Honestly, I had no idea where to park to even get access to it since the only people who used it were people riding their bikes or running on the trail that runs parallel to the freeway.
He still asks every.single.time we drive under it - which is a lot. He likes to remind me that I told him we could do it and still haven't. Well, this past Saturday as we were heading back home from Seattle he asked yet again. I decided to try and figure out how/where to get on to it. Thankfully it was super easy to find. I was able to find parking on the shoulder and we bolted over it quick before my car got towed!
The boys were in heaven! Didn't phase them at all that they were just feet (well, a lot of feet) above hundreds of cars zooming 60-80 mph and if God forbid a big earthquake decided to hit at that exact moment we could have all been goners! Glad I did the worrying for them, because they had a blast! It was a quick trip across, but they enjoyed every second of it.

All Aboard
We were heading out to Gig Harbor today for a family BBQ and stopped in Tacoma on the way to check out the Tacoma Railway Open House! It was really crowded and we didn't stay long, but what we did see, was pretty cool! They were giving free train rides, but unfortunately the time our tickets were for would be too late, so we had to skip that part.
The boys had a great time and loved their new train conductor hats that were in their little swag bags!

Mini Cooper
Josh had to bring one of the cars that he was working on home one night and the boys were just a little bit excited about it! It happened to be a night that we met some family for dinner 45 mins from our house, so they were even more pumped when they saw they got to ride all the way home in it!
Too bad these are just too small for our family, because they sure are cute cars!

Marshmallows and Watermelon
Zane scored a very cool (to him) Marshmallow Shooter at the parade today! The kids were just going crazy over these things and of course he just had to have one too - so mom caved! He couldn't wait to get home and try it out. Sadly, we didn't have any mini-marshmallows at home like I had thought we did, so after Landon's nap we headed out to buy some! Zane had just a little bit of fun with it!
They also had a Watermelon Eating Contest at Fall City Days today and Zane really wanted to participate. Mommy wasn't too keen on waiting around a couple hours for it to start so I told him we could have our own at home and thankfully he was ok with that plan! So, Landon, Zane and one of our neighbor girls Allie had a contest of their own out back this afternoon. They had a blast!

Bike Rodeo
The boys and I headed out to the annual Bike Rodeo held here in Snoqualmie yesterday while Josh was at work. This is an awesome event for kids to learn bike safety and just have fun. Everything is free - free helmets (which we skipped, since the boys have nice helmets already), free entertainment, free lunch etc. The kids have a great time and learn some new rules of the road while their at it. It's a sad reason why this even exists, but what a great way to remember little Tanner Jeans and educate kids.

Team Zane {2014}
We had another successful year for Team Zane and Beat the Bridge. I'm amazed every year how much our friends and family still are willing to do for us and make our lives a little easier and help us have a great team! We truly are blessed. This year was extra special for Zane, both of his teachers and two of his classmates came out to celebrate the little man - he was thrilled!
This was the first year that Zane ran the 1 mile and thankfully many of his buddies wanted to run too! I knew he was excited to run - he and I had done a couple training runs and he couldn't get enough of it. What I didn't know - was that this kid was FAST! He and one of his buddies Bashir ran an 8 minute mile! Holy crapola! Not sure who's running DNA he got, but it sure wasn't his dad or I's!
It was great to see the new Husky stadium - beautiful! Landon was nice enough to christen the field for them by up-chucking his breakfast all over it. Poor kid. We knew he wasn't feeling well, we just didn't know it was that sort of not feeling well. He is such a little trooper. He was so sick all of yesterday, never cried or complained once. Hit the bowl or bag (in the car) every time. Heartbreaking as a parent to watch your child feel so terrible and know there is nothing you can do about it. Thankfully he is on the mend and doing much better today.
Now for the photo dump that I know you've been waiting for :)
