1st Parade.

We went out to visit Karena and baby Luke this morning and it just so happens it was the same day that Buckley was celebrating their "Logging Days"! The parade comes down Main Street and ironically Karena lives right off of main street, so we walked on down to check it out! The whole town comes out for this thing. Zane really liked all of the dogs and big trucks that came down the street, but he was not too keen of the horns from these big trucks, that took some getting used to!

Elephants!

Zane's great-aunt Carol made him this awesome quilt! She started it when I was pregnant and we just got it the other day and I LOVE IT! Josh and I went up to Alaska (where she lives) when I was 6 mos pregnant and she let me go through her quilting patterns and pick the one I wanted and I even helped cut out all of the little elephants! A lot of life changes happened for Aunt Carol over the last 2 years, so the quilt took a little longer to get here, but it was SOOO worth the wait!

Father's Day in the 'Burg.

For Father's Day Josh wanted to drive over to Ellensburg and go to the Iron House Brewery and do some tasting! I was excited to head over there because I haven't been in YEARS and thought it would be fun to see how much the place (including the college) has changed. We got there and after eating lunch at Rodeo City BBQ (yum-o), we found the brewery and right there posted on the door clear as day "NO MINORS ALLOWED". Ut oh! One would maybe think that was common sense, but we've been to many breweries where children were allowed to tour and be in, but not this one. So Zane and I sat in the car and Josh ran in to check it out...apparently this was more of a bar than anything, so he just bought a souvenier sweatshirt and called it good. We then went and walked around campus a bit, I cannot believe how much it has changed...the new student union building is awesome!! We found Zane a CWU shirt and were on our way. On the way home we stopped off at Snoqualmie Falls and Zane loved it! After a full day of driving, we are thankfully home safe and sound another great Father's Day for us!

18/19 mos pictures

I am finally posting some of the pictures we had taken of Zane at the end of last month for his 18 mos shots...he was just days away from being 19 mos though! We were lucky enough to come upon this awesome photographer Sylvia Cook and she did so good with the active toddler he is! She inadvertently captured a few shots of Zane and I as well which was a nice treat!

Running in circles.

This kid just cracks me up sometimes. His latest "trick" is to turn in a bunch of circles, get dizzy, fall down, laugh, get back up, run in circles and repeat! I finally caught a little of it on video tonight.

Trains, toys & spaghetti!

Zane and I met up with my friend Cori and her daughter Hailey today at the Country Village in Bothell. Our whole reason for going there was to take the kids on the "choo-choo" for a fun little ride. The kids were so excited waiting for the train, they kept saying "choo-choo"...that all ended when we stepped foot onto the train. Hailey was not loving it at all and kept swinging her legs over the side to try and jump out...Zane was fine at first until he saw Hailey not loving it, he then figured she must know whats up and started to get upset too.





As soon as the "conductor" fired up the tractor engine of this little train, Zane really lost it then, I think it scared the poop out of him to be honest! Once the train got rolling, both kids were fine and loved looking at all of the animals that we went by.



After the train ride the kids played for awhile and enjoyed some candy while looking at the ducks! We all headed to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory and Hailey's daddy met up with us there as well! It was a great day and I was so happy to finally meet lil' miss Hailey!

Zane enjoyed his first MLS match last night!! It definitely isn't the same going to the game when you have a toddler in tow...a very busy toddler that is. Zane was not too keen on sitting on our laps for the game, most of the game was spent with me standing up on the platform above our seats and letting him run around. We have some friends who also have season tickets and they bring their toddler every time...he is a little less busy than Zane though, so will actually sit for the entire game! We met up with them at 1/2 time and Zane and Bashir ran wild!! I'm thinking this may have been Zane's 1st and last match of the season...I kind of like to actually watch the game! We'll see though, I might forget how much of a challenge last night was and let him go again. Its funny how sometimes we so easily forget things like that!! He really did good all things considered and we really did have a good time. It helped that we WON!
