{Pre-K} First Day

Landon-Man had his first day of Pre-K today - he was so excited to go back!  Landon is at the same preschool as last year.  Crazy to think it's his last year of preschool and next year he'll be off to the big K - but I'll try not to think about that right yet...we don't need me crying 12 mos in advance!

Landon's big obsession these days (and has been for awhile now) is Paw Patrol - everything is about Paw Patrol...the funny thing is...he thinks it's all real even though it's a cartoon.  He has already decided he's going to have a Paw Patrol Birthday party...I asked him where he wanted to have the party and he matter-a-factly said "The Lookout"!  I was confused at first, but then watched an episode with him and saw that that is in the show...I tried to explain to him that we cannot really go to the Lookout - he isn't standing for it!  Anyway, I digress...the reason I bring up Paw Patrol is because he was decked out in it from head to toe for his first day...even his undies (not pictured) are Paw Patrol and he couldn't have been happier about it all!

I love you so much little man!

On to Pre-K

Landon is officially onto Pre-K and to celebrate the end of the school year there was a school picnic at Miss Katy's house.  Miss Katy lives on a large piece of property with tons of land for the kids to run wild, a beautiful view of Mt. Si and horses to feed - we lucked out with the weather!  Now onto summer vacation!!!

House on the Prairie anyone?!

Preschool Love

I shared these on my FB page, but I need to put them here as well to make sure they are never (hopefully) lost.  Landon adores this little girl named Ava from his preschool and has since he started last fall.  I have tried many times to connect with Ava's mom to schedule a playdate, but I never hear back.  Maybe she is afraid of my little boy stealing her daughter's heart?  Whatever!  Anyway - I am so thankful to his teacher for capturing these adorable precious moments during the day that I don't get to see!

Be still my heart you cutie pies!

Trike-a-Thon

Landon's preschool had a Trike-a-Thon this past Friday to raise money for Camp Korey.  Landon learned a lot about Camp Korey in the last couple of weeks and it was great to hear him talk about kids who have physical impairments and the fun they still get to have a camp.  I took the day off so I could volunteer at the event and I'm glad I did.  He loved having me there and I loved watching him with all of his buds and flying around the track on his bike!

Learning the rules of the road from Miss Katy.

Listening to the instructions for the afternoon!

Preschool Tour

We are looking into possibly moving Landon to a new preschool next fall. We have various reasons that I don't need to spell out here. It's not a life or death situation to move him...so if worse case he stays where he is, it's OK. We just want to try and do what is best for him and prepare him the best we can for Kindergarten fall of 2016 (OMG!!).

Anyway...yesterday we toured the one and only preschool we are seriously interested in. It's called Rooster Valley Farm School and is the freakin' coolest place! Any kid would love this place. It helps we have friends who attend and rave about it. Here's the problem...they don't have any openings for what we need (full-day/5 days). The good news is Landon is first on the waiting list and we have people who are dropping our name a lot :) I'm so hopeful. Please say a prayer or send a happy thought that he moves up on the list quick! Here's to hoping someone backs out quickly!!

Open House {Montessori Style}

Landon's school had their 2nd Open House of the year.  We missed the last one, so he was hell-bent on making sure we came to this one!  I'm glad we did.  It was fun to watch him show us all around and show us all of his "works" and how to do different stations.  It was adorable watching him explain to Zane what to do.

I also had his parent teacher conference today - he's doing great.  She said his only area for improvement is that he likes to talk a little too much.  I laughed when she said that.  I told her that I remember many detentions in elementary school for talking too much or out of turn - so sadly he must've gotten that from me!  She said, it really isn't a problem, just something they are slowly trying to work on!  That's my boy!

Here are some photos of last night's Open House!
