Of course I'm probably bias, but I think Zane is one of the cutest kids ever and I just can't get enough of him! His little personality just develops more and more everyday and it seems like something new comes out of his mouth every few minutes! I am so in love with this little toddler and I thank God for giving me this blessing everyday!

Cantaloupe tattoo?
Zane received his first temporary tattoo today! The tattoo is of Yoda, but for some reason (maybe because he was eating it at the time) he thinks the tattoo is of cantaloupe, haha!! Even tonight (hours after Josh put the tattoo on him) when we asked him what the tattoo was, he said "cantaloupe" very confident!

Fire Trucks and Police Cars oh my!
Apparently the city of Federal Way is turning 20 this weekend and because of that there are celebration events all over the city! Lucky us, we were informed about an event going on over at City Hall...all kinds of fire trucks, police cars, garbage trucks, snow plows etc were on display for the kids to climb in and out of! Anyone who knows Zane well knows that he LOVES fire trucks and police cars. He absolutely loves when we see these vehicles flying by us on the freeway or just trottin' around town! The last time he was up close to a Fire Truck and was allowed to get inside, he wanted nothing to do with it...but thankfully Brooklyn was with us this time and that child has no fear and Zane was not about to be showed up by a girl, so he followed suit to whatever she did!!
Be prepared...a lot of pictures ahead, it was too hard to choose!
Are these two just not adorable?

Up close to the fire truck.

I think we need another kid, look how complete we look with 2 kids, haha!

Brooklyn cruisin'!

Zane cruisin'!

This better be the only time I see this kid in the back of a police car!

This is more like it, I prefer to see him in the driver's seat of a police car!

Checking out the snow plow with daddy.

Driving the garbage truck!

Ok, the backseat of the fire truck was cool, but the driver's seat is AWESOME!

On our way out!

After all of that hard work it was time for some McDonald's!

Messy x 2
My best friend's daughter Brooklyn was with us this morning for Zane's "Dress for the Mess" class because her mommy had some kid-free stuff to do! Daddy was also feeling better from his cold so was able to join us this week as well (thank goodness, I needed the extra hands)!
Here are the cuties just hanging out waiting for class to start!

Front Page News!
Over the last week I've started trying to get Zane more familiar with doing his business on the potty. By all means I haven't started full-on potty training, but started trying to be a little more consistent with having him sit on the potty everyday at least once. Every time he's sat on the potty he has pee'd and he gets so excited! We have a piece of paper above the toilet that he gets to put a sticker on every time he goes potty. He loves stickers, so it seemed like a good prize and so far its been working well. We've always told him if he goes poop on the potty he'd get TWO stickers (hey, that's a big deal to him)! He has had NO desire to go poop on the potty, he has many times told me (in a very whiny, almost crying voice) "no, I go poo-poo in my diaper"...oh boy!
Well, that all changed tonight folks, my little boy went poop in the potty ALL BY HIMSELF, with no coaxing from me at all! He went pee before getting in the tub as usual and while in the bath he yelled out to me that he had to pee...which I didn't really believe him since he had just gone, but whatever, I got him out and put him back on the toilet and as I was standing there talking to him, I noticed that all to familiar "poop face" and just about died...holy cow was he really doing it?? YEP, he did it...Zane went poop in the potty, this date is going down in my record books forever! Yes, I know that this could be a one time thing for right now and I'm ok with that if it is...because at least I know he's capable of it! He was so proud of himself and couldn't wait to call daddy upstairs to see his work!!
So as we promised, he got 2 stickers and we also told him he gets to go to the store tomorrow and pick out a new hotwheel!!!

Makin' Cookies!
Zane and I went over to our friend's Nemieh and Bashir's today after work to hang out! As usual the boys were running wild as they always seem to do when together! Its a total "monkey see, monkey do" situation when these two are in the same proximity! Nemieh had the bright idea to make cookies with the boys...I feared it was going to be disastrous, but I think it was more organized chaos! The cookies were delicious I might add!!
Trouble x 2!

They couldn't wait for them to be done!

Ahh, just as good as he thought it would be!

Picnic time!

Goodbye friend!

"My friends here?"
I took the day off today to have a play date with my friend Lori and her adorable boys Andrew (3 years) and Mason (8 mos)! Lori is lucky enough to have every Tuesday and Thursday off and instead of taking up one of our weekend days, I decided it would be a good week to take a day off to hang out! As I put Zane to bed last night, I told him that he was going to have some friends over to play tomorrow (today) and the first thing he asked me when he woke up this morning was "my friends here?"...I am always so amazed at how much he remembers me saying to him!
Zane has only met Andrew one other time and I was sure he probably wouldn't remember that time, so it was like meeting a new friend all over again! We practiced the boys names this morning before they got here and he helped me get some snacks together for them to enjoy while playing and then we just waited for them to arrive!

It took the boys a little while to really play together, I think Zane is still at the "playing parallel" stage, but in the end they started to play together and did have a lot of fun (of course just as it was time for them to leave)! Zane had a blast and we hope that Andrew did too! I had a lot of fun catching up with Lori and snuggling Mason.

We hope to get together again soon, thanks for coming!!

Santa?
We were at Fred Meyer the other night just walking around checking things out and we came across these HUGE garden gnomes. Zane was convinced that it was Santa, every time we tried to get him to say "gnome", he'd say "no, Santa"! And if you remember late last year, Zane was NOT a fan of Santa so you can imagine how shocked I was when he was willing to stand by these gnomes...er, I mean Santa and get his picture taken! Maybe there is hope for later this year...or maybe he's just smart enough to know that this Santa won't make him sit on his lap!

Weather.
Call it early spring, late winter, whatever you call it, I love it!! I seriously keep forgetting its February because the weather is so gorgeous. We took advantage of the nice weather yesterday and had a little impromptu BBQ with our friends Lisa and Daniel! Although it was starting to get dark by the time they got here, it was still a great weather day and it was fun to just relax and catch up! Zane absolutely loves Lisa and has ever since he was a tiny baby and I just love that! He will sit on her lap the entire time they are here, play puzzles, watch TV, snuggle, whatever...he just loves to be with her!

Getting so big...
I bought this jacket for Zane about a year ago for a really good deal at a consignment shop in town and at the time thought he'd never be big enough to wear it. Well, he's just about there! Its a little long, but otherwise fits pretty good. My little baby is getting so big, makes me want to smile and cry all at the same time!!!

Two-wheelin'!
For Zane's 1st birthday my mom got him a knock off version of a Like a Bike and I had no idea what it even was...I thought it was just a bike that had made it out of the factory without its pedals somehow! A friend of mine informed me that these are great little inventions that apparently help teach kids balance and supposedly they go straight from this to a two-wheeler skipping the whole "training wheel" phase. I'm skeptical and really don't mind if we go through a "training wheel" phase, but nonetheless I'm willing to give it a try...since we already own it! Ok, now to my point...like I said, Zane got this bike for his 1st birthday and was way too small and un-coordinated to ride it at that time, we've tried it a few times here and there since he got it, but he was never really ready. Well ladies and gentlemen, he's not only ready, he's a darn pro at it now!!!

And if the pictures aren't proof enough, here's a video of him rollin'!!
