Its as easy at ABC...

Its really hard to hear Zane in this video, but listen as he attempts to sing his ABC's, so cute. He does great if every letter in the alphabet were 'B'!! Anytime you ask him what a letter is, he always says "B"! Nonetheless its cute to watch him try.

Saturday.

Today was a pretty good day! Josh had to work all day, so Zane and I just lounged around the house for most of the day. Karena and Luke came over to visit this morning, we haven't seen them in quite sometime, I was amazed at how big he has gotten!!

After Zane and I picked Josh up from work we headed to a park nearby and I captured a couple cute pictures of the boys watching the softball game going on.

And tonight after bath we took another little turn on the potty...nothing happened, but he sure looked cute trying!!

Three Strikes.

Bad things happen in three's right? I hope that means after the 3rd incident things start to look up! Last Wednesday (9/16) my car broke down on the way home from work (thankfully Zane was not with me), my clutch had decided it had had enough. Thankfully, I was only about a block from home when it finally gave out (although, I have no idea how I made it that far to be honest) so my father-in-law came and towed me home with his car. $700 and 12+ hours later of Josh working in our tiny 1 car garage I had a new clutch by Sunday night.

This past Wednesday I go out after work to go home and my car won't start, completely dead. I call AAA and they come out and diagnose I need a new battery (which we were sort of figuring would be needed soon anyway), so thankfully, they had a new one and put it in for me (again, thankfully Zane was home with the in-laws this day). Great, got home, things are peachy. Although, I was beginning to think that Wednesday's hated me.

Well, apparently not only Wednesday's hate me, but Friday has decided to join in on the hate fun! Today, I go out after work and my stupid car wont start AGAIN! Ok, now I'm pissed at this point, there is a brand new battery in there, why won't it start?? I find someone at work who has jumper cables and try to jump start the car to no avail. I call Josh and since he obviously can't diagnose the car over the phone, I'm told to have it towed home. Problem this time is...I do have Zane (or at least he was at daycare). I call AAA and they send a tow-truck my way (over an hour later it gets there) and in the meantime while waiting for the tow-truck I'm trying to arrange a way to get Zane from daycare and to get Zane and I home. I called daycare to let her know the situation and that I'd be late, she offers to bring Zane to me...sa-weet! So she brought Zane to me right as the car was getting loaded onto the truck. The tow-truck driver was kind enough to let both of us ride with him, so away we went on an adventure drive home! Zane thought it was so cool to ride in that truck.

Car is now at home and Josh is currently in our tiny garage again working on it. Its the starter this time (which normally should NOT be going out on 3 year old car, but its my luck apparently). Now the fun comes tomorrow when Josh has to work all day and I have to somehow find a place that has our part in stock and go get it so Josh can put it in tomorrow night!

I'm so glad I'm married to an auto technician!! Now, if I was only married to a millionare too so we could afford all of these car problems, haha!!

Trust me, he loved being in the truck, he's starting to cry in this picture, because he didn't realize I was riding with him. He was all smiles on the way home!

Poop.

This is for documentation purposes; Zane went poop in the potty for the first time tonight! This is the first time he ever went anything in the potty! Teeny-tiny little poop, but nonetheless it was poop in the potty! He didn't seem to think it was a big deal and I highly doubt it will happen again anytime in the near future, but I am so proud of him!!!

Ok, sure not all or any of you wanted to know this, but like I said it was for documentation purposes!!

*Little update...my little monster an hour after doing his tiny little deed in the potty decided to finish his not so little deed in the bathtub. So, I think we have a long ways to go!!! But you have to start somewhere right?!!

Pa-Pa.

Welcome Back Seahawks!!

We had our friends the Wieser's over to watch the season opener yesterday! For some reason I didn't get a picture of all of them, but trust me all 3 of them were here! Zane's is finally old enough to start to get into it this year...well, into the "cheering" anyway! He likes to clap his hands and throw them up for a touchdown! I'm excited to see how the season progresses, both with the Hawks and with Zane taking a liking to watching the games!

Did the Puyallup!!!

Josh had to work today, so after our playdate at McDonald's this morning we came home for the Z-man to take a nap! My dad offered to take Zane and I to the Puyallup Fair after his nap and we could not pass up the offer; Zane has never been to the fair outside of utero (he did go when I was 8 mos pregnant with him)!!

Zane had SO MUCH FUN! He road quite a few rides (many by himself) and he couldn't stop talking about them. If you ask him what rides he road he'd tell you a "choo-choo", "ba-boats" (boats), "carshs" (cars), "mowers" (dumptruck); anything that is a construction or farm vehicle is called a "mower", don't ask...I have no answer for as to why, we just don't argue with him about it because we do not win the battle!!! Technically Zane was not big enough to ride the rides, the height requirement (even for the kiddie rides) is 36 inches and the poor kid is only about 30 inches, but the carnie's were nice enough to let him on anyway; most of them just said "if he's brave enough, he can do it"...and boy was he ever! The only ride that he was not so sure of by the end (first few times around the track, he was fine though) was the roller coaster...but all in all, he loved everything about the fair!

A nice bonus to the day was that my dad paid for everything and I am one not to complain about that at all!! Thanks dad/Grandpa Hay!

McDonald's Playdate!

Zane and I met up with Tate & Kennedi this morning (and their lovely mom Brenda) for a playdate at McDonald's! This was the first time I had ever taken Zane into the play room there and I don't think I'll ever get away with not taking him in there ever again; he had a blast! Tate and Kennedi were such big helpers to him and really took care of him, so I could chat with Brenda! A little alterior motive to today's playdate is that Kennedi's 3rd birthday is next month and since we'll be on vacation we will miss her party...so we brought her birthday present today and she had a lot of fun opening it (with Zane's help)!

The Blue Park.

I have no idea what the "real" name of this little park is, but I've always called it the "blue park" and you can probably tell why from the pictures below! Its right by my work and I've driven by it a million times, but had never had the chance to bring Zane to it...that is until last Friday night! We had a dinner to go to with some co-workers of mine, but I had an hour to kill after picking Zane up until the dinner started, so we headed to the park! He had a blast, he didn't have to share the park with any other kids and he took a ride down his first "tunnel" slide!

The easy chair.

Josh and I had been thinking about getting recliners to replace our love-seat in the living room to help free up a little space and just because they are comfy and we like them! We looked at quite a few furniture stores before finally finding some that we liked at a price we also liked (we usually had no problem finding a chair we liked, it was the price we usually didn't like)! And to our surprise being Labor Day weekend the store was having a deal where they pay your sales tax...yahoo!

Here are my boys enjoying the chairs...I have yet to sit in one since they've been home because both of these guys have claimed them as their own!

A night out in K-land!

Our friends Scully and Karlee were in town this last week from Florida and we were lucky enough to be able to hang out with them last night! Josh and I rarely get to go out together as its not always easy to find a sitter, but my in-laws were up for the challenge of taking Zane for the night so out to Kirkland we went! We had a blast catching up with them (haven't seen them since their wedding in 2007) and Josh had a blast checking his alcohol tolerance levels!

And just for a great laugh, here is what a little too much alcohol can do to one's dancing abilities!

Monkey Jumper!

Zane was having a blast jumping off of the outtoman onto Josh last night. He would get so mad when Josh would try to get up and sit on the couch, it was cute daddy/son times!

Ready, set...

GO!!

Here's a fun little video of my little monkey in action!
