Bad things happen in three's right? I hope that means after the 3rd incident things start to look up! Last Wednesday (9/16) my car broke down on the way home from work (thankfully Zane was not with me), my clutch had decided it had had enough. Thankfully, I was only about a block from home when it finally gave out (although, I have no idea how I made it that far to be honest) so my father-in-law came and towed me home with his car. $700 and 12+ hours later of Josh working in our tiny 1 car garage I had a new clutch by Sunday night.
This past Wednesday I go out after work to go home and my car won't start, completely dead. I call AAA and they come out and diagnose I need a new battery (which we were sort of figuring would be needed soon anyway), so thankfully, they had a new one and put it in for me (again, thankfully Zane was home with the in-laws this day). Great, got home, things are peachy. Although, I was beginning to think that Wednesday's hated me.
Well, apparently not only Wednesday's hate me, but Friday has decided to join in on the hate fun! Today, I go out after work and my stupid car wont start AGAIN! Ok, now I'm pissed at this point, there is a brand new battery in there, why won't it start?? I find someone at work who has jumper cables and try to jump start the car to no avail. I call Josh and since he obviously can't diagnose the car over the phone, I'm told to have it towed home. Problem this time is...I do have Zane (or at least he was at daycare). I call AAA and they send a tow-truck my way (over an hour later it gets there) and in the meantime while waiting for the tow-truck I'm trying to arrange a way to get Zane from daycare and to get Zane and I home. I called daycare to let her know the situation and that I'd be late, she offers to bring Zane to me...sa-weet! So she brought Zane to me right as the car was getting loaded onto the truck. The tow-truck driver was kind enough to let both of us ride with him, so away we went on an adventure drive home! Zane thought it was so cool to ride in that truck.
Car is now at home and Josh is currently in our tiny garage again working on it. Its the starter this time (which normally should NOT be going out on 3 year old car, but its my luck apparently). Now the fun comes tomorrow when Josh has to work all day and I have to somehow find a place that has our part in stock and go get it so Josh can put it in tomorrow night!
I'm so glad I'm married to an auto technician!! Now, if I was only married to a millionare too so we could afford all of these car problems, haha!!
Trust me, he
loved being in the truck, he's starting to cry in this picture, because he didn't realize I was riding
with him. He was all smiles on the way home!
