Hearts Day

Josh had to work on Valentine's Day, so it was just me and my smallest Valentine's - we had a great day.

The boys woke up to little Valentine's and Zane made me an awesome Valentine!  Then they enjoyed some heart shaped meals - glad they don't mind the girly  hearts once a year!

Our weather has been exceptional lately and we took full advantage of it!  First we headed to downtown Snoqualmie to walk around and look at all of the cute little shops that we usually just drive right past without thinking twice about.

Then, I had found a screaming deal on soccer cleats for Landon the other night, so he was dying to try them out.  We headed to the park and the boys kicked the ball around for a bit, then headed over to the playground.

We took the trail through the woods home and then once home the boys played in the back alley with the neighbor kids - made swords and made forts in the woods!  After Josh got home, we enjoyed a nice dinner at home and called it a night!  A great Valentine's Day - a day with my two special little boys!

Lost in the Woods

Zane & Landon headed over to Grandma & Papa Alexander's Saturday evening to spend part of spring break.  That meant, Josh and I were left alone!  What ever would we do with all of our spare time? What ever would we do to occupy ourselves while the children were away?

We figured out some stuff!  One of being which...going on a bike ride...a long bike ride...and it was awesome!  The weather yesterday was GORGEOUS.  As soon as I got home from work, we changed and headed out to find some trails!  There are over 20 miles of biking/running trails here in Snoqualmie and although we've ventured a couple of them here and there for short distances - we knew there was so much more to see/do.  We didn't have an agenda, we didn't have a map and we didn't have a clue where we were going and it was great!  We just hopped on one trail and rode to the end of it, then hopped on another and another.  It was beautiful.  It was hard, very hard.  Many steep hills to climb, some deep mud in places and a few too many switchbacks...but they were all worth it.  Did I mention it was beautiful?

Daylight

It's FINALLY starting to stay lighter a little longer at night - this is a dream come true!  It also helps that it is 20-30 degrees warmer this week than last week...from 20 to 50 is a pretty cool feeling.  All of this makes me think that spring just might show up after all this year - I can't wait!  The boys are loving the daylight as well and took full advantage of it tonight!

Looking forward to more fun outside!
