Easter 2015

Easter was low-key this year and I was quite alright with that.  Josh's dad came down early to accompany us to church (his mom was sick) and then his brother came down a bit later to join us for brunch at our house.

The boys of course woke up to Easter baskets and were thrilled with the goodness inside.

We took obligatory family pictures (minus Uncle Isaac because he wasn't down here yet)...

Then after brunch we headed down to walk by the old trains just to enjoy the sunshine some more!

Happy Easter All.

Egg Hunt

The boys had a fun 30 seconds this morning "hunting" for eggs that were laying in plain sight :)  It always amazes me how excited kids get for Easter Egg Hunts (I know I did as a kid too) - the darn things only last about 30 seconds before all the eggs are gone!  Of course we can do our own at home and hide them well so it takes longer, but at the organized events, they are always just laying out in a grass field.  Doesn't matter to me, they have fun and that's all I care about!  Thankful that the rain held off until after the hunt was over - that could've been miserable for us parents, haha!

You'll notice there are more pictures of Landon than Zane - they are in different age groups, so since Zane is older, I let him go un-accompanied, but obviously I stick to Landon like glue!  So that is my reason for more photos of my #2 - he's in my viewfinder at all times :)

Happy Easter {2014}

Happy Easter from our family to yours!  We had a great day filled with chocolate, eggs, church, family and a reminder of the true reason for this day.  He is risen; He is risen indeed!

The boys woke up to fun-filled baskets including their very own Ferby's!  Zane is over the moon with his - Landon is a little creeped (rightfully so) of his!  Landon's was "sleeping" and he picked it up to walk into the living room with it and it "woke up" and started talking and I thought he was going to have a toddler heart attack...he dropped that thing so fast.  I am still laughing about it as I type this, it was pretty hilarious!

After going through their basket loot - we had a yummy bunny breakfast and then headed off to church. Then it was time for more family!  We headed to Josh's parents house and had a delicious lunch and another egg hunt for the boys!  What a great day!

Hunt & Dye

We headed out to our first Snoqualmie Easter Egg Hunt today and it was a success!  I had heard from others to prepare for complete mayhem down there - so I packed my patience and headed down early to make sure we got a parking spot.  It was anything but mayhem!  It went perfectly.  Zane and Landon were in different age groups for the hunt, so I had to stay with Landon and leave Zane to himself to hunt for eggs (which he didn't mind and he was right next to us, so I could see him the whole time). Both collected a basket full of candy filled eggs and had smiles beaming on their faces the entire time - I would call it a success.  We opted not to wait in the enormous line to visit the Easter Bunny and thankfully both kids were totally fine with that!

After the hunt was over - we headed home to dye eggs.  I would definitely say that we have had prettier eggs in our dying history, but the boys had fun and that's all that matters!

Now both boys are getting ready for bed - they can't wait to go to sleep so the Easter Bunny can come!
