Photo Dump

Jumping on the "Photo Dump" bandwagon.  I wish I could say that I had the time to blog about all of these photos individually for when they happened...but I just don't!  I feel like I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off these days.  I am dumping quite a few photos below because I do not want them to get lost in my phone or in iphoto!

If you're interested in our life...continue; if not, then...why are you here anyway?!

Puzzle Time

LOVE when I get the chance to take just 1 kid to the grocery store!

Ever wonder why I look tired??

My little running buddy - he LOVES it.

Looks pretty good here...about 10 mins later, you can see below what we encountered...

...lowest blood sugar to date.  Scariest one by far - I was not prepared as I was not expecting this at all
lesson learned.  Was about 2 mins from calling 911 from the park playground.  Thankfully, I found a pack
of fruit snacks hidden in my bag - they take awhile to kick in, but finally did.  I had to keep telling him to
"stay with me Zane" and to have to even have those words come out of my mouth is the worst feeling ever; makes me want to cry thinking about it.

Sweat bomb!

Loves his new glasses that change into "sunglasses"!

Sunshine on the face...not much better than that!

What's up homie!

Cheater Chopsticks!

Yearbook signing!

Love his little handwriting and spelling of words...but my favorite part is the little heart by his name!

Zane is a little obsessed with the US World Cup team!

My handsome boy on Field Day.

Keep dreaming boys!

Love him in this hat, was passed down from Zane and so glad he loves to wear it as much as
Zane did!

This kid is trouble!

Passed out!

A burn from his insulin pump...not from the pump, but from the spray we use to remove it.
We sprayed it as usual before getting in the shower, but totally forgot to remove it; stayed on all night.
The spray is safe to use on skin; we've been using it for 2 years, but...it isn't intended to stay on for 12+ hours :(
It's just like a sunburn; it'll heal (and already is drastically), but still painful and a big fail on my part.

King of the...blocks?!

Hanging out at daddy's work!

More fun at daddy's work.

Kid loves animals...so unlike Zane :)

Berry pickin'!

See...my little animal lover!

Really hope this isn't a glimpse into the future :)

Tank Top Weather

Gotta love the 80 degree days in Seattle when you can get them - they seem far and few between at times!  The boys were very excited to wear tank tops today - they (especially Zane) think they are the coolest thing ever right now, ha.  After work and dinner, we headed to the park...seems like that is our m.o. these days; works for me!

It was all fun and games until diabetes reared it's ugly head and shot Zane with a crazy low blood sugar...but after some juice and applesauce he was pretty good to go!  Took him awhile to fully recover, but he at least was able to head back out to play.  You'll notice a sadder face on him in some pictures; breaks my heart.

Park photo dump...you're welcome!

Cuteness Overload

Landon is at such a fun adorable age right now!  I look at him sometimes and wonder if he could get any cuter!  Some of his favorite things to say, play and do right now are:

"What you say, mommy (or daddy)?" if he didn't hear/understand you.
"Are you my baby, mommy?" means 'am I still your baby?'
"I wub you".
"I not ti-rad". - I'm not tired.
"I don't have to eat all my dinner".

Loves to go to the park, especially the "gween park a-hind Zane's school" (green park behind Zane's school)!  He LOVES, LOVE, LOVES his Hotwheels still!  The kid will sit for hours playing with them.  Yesterday, he had a pile of them on the floor and informed me it was a Hotwheel Party!  He loves parties, but won't eat the cake!  He loves to watch Caillou and would watch it for hours on his tablet if he were allowed too.  Speaking of tablets; he is addicted (our whole family is sadly).  We set timers, so everyone is allotted 30 mins a day (well, the parents can have more once the kids are asleep, if we feel like ignoring each other :))!  Starting to like some fruits now - it's taken a long time.  Still won't touch any veggies; can't say I push him hard enough though either.  Would live on a chicken nugget, oatmeal and PB&J diet if allowed.

Landon is a kick in the pants right now - but he's also a button pusher!  He loves to test and see how far he can get with you and he knows when he's crossed the line too - he will shoot a nice smirk over to you and it is almost impossible not to laugh and again, he knows it!  He's definitely his father's child!

We love this guy more than anything and every day he makes us laugh more and more!

He can swim {and he can dunk}

This has been 5 years of swimming lessons (off and on) in the making folks...but Zane can FINALLY swim!  He still has more to learn, but my goodness; we are so proud of him!  It took many, many bribes over the years to just get him to stick his NOSE in the water and now look at him!!!

And Landon...well, this kid has zero fear of the water!  He LOVES to put his head under the water any chance he can get!

Real Men Wear Pink

Landon seemed to almost always get "stuck" with the pink floaty at swimming when they used them. There were two boys and two girls in his class and it always seemed they only had one blue or green one and the other boy threw a fit if he got pink.  Landon being the laid back kid he is (ha) could care less!  I think he looks cute in pink :)

Mini Cooper

Josh had to bring one of the cars that he was working on home one night and the boys were just a little bit excited about it!  It happened to be a night that we met some family for dinner 45 mins from our house, so they were even more pumped when they saw they got to ride all the way home in it!

Too bad these are just too small for our family, because they sure are cute cars!

Bye-Bye Kindergarten

As cliche as it may sound - I really wish time would slow down a little.  I swear Zane was just born yesterday and here he is moving on to 1st grade!  This has been an amazing year for Zane - he has grown leaps and bounds since the first day of school.  He has not only grown academically, but he has grown physically and most importantly he has grown in maturity.  Of course he's still a boy and thinks farts and burps are hilarious - but he is such a sweet boy and so kind hearted to those around him (except maybe not always to his brother!).  Zane has made so many great friends this year and many of them are ones I think he'll have for years to come.  We are so proud to call this boy our son.

My how he has grown up!  You don't really realize it until you compare photos side by side!

Due to the rain soaking the grass, the class picnic was held inside the classroom!  Zane's wonderful teacher Mrs. Boysen started to cry when she talked about this class.  She has been teaching for 17 years and said she can honestly say that this has been her favorite class.  She is a very genuine person, I believe her when she says this.  Having met all of Zane's class and so many of the parents, I can see why she'd say that.  This has really been a wonderful group of kids - the perfect mix of silly and serious!  Mrs. Boysen handed each child a "diploma" congratulating them on moving on to 1st grade! The kids loved walking up to grab theirs!

After we all ate our lunches - we headed outside to the Kindergarten Corral for the last time to play! Next school year they will not be allowed to play in there anymore - it'll be only for the new K students!  One of the moms did face painting and there was sidewalk chalk and bubbles galore!  The kids ran around crazy and the parents all chatted and promised plans of playdates over the summer!  I could've stayed out there for hours doing this - it was awesome.

Zane & Rihtik (one of his best buds)
It was now time to head back into the classroom; pack up our stuff and say our good-byes (or see-ya-later's).  This was more emotional for me (and for some of the kids) than I had expected it to be.  It's like the ending of an era!
