Friendship

Christina and I have been bff's since 2nd grade - we've had our moments of coming and going and our moments of distance - but we always come back.  Have you heard the saying "You'll always be my best friend because you know too much"??  Well, that is us!  We've been through it all together and then some.  And what we haven't been through together we have told the other person all about it. She's one of those!

Her daughter Brooklyn is 6 mos older than Zane and they too have been there for each other for a long time.  They don't see each other as much now that all of our lives have become so much busier, but it is so fun to see that when they do see each other, its like no time has passed - just like with their mama's.

Christina & Brooklyn drove out to see us this afternoon and stayed until well past all 3 kids' bedtimes - we were all having so much fun, there was just no reason to end it any earlier.  Zane is learning what it's like to have a pesky little brother that wants do everything that you're doing and wants to be included in everything going on.  It was a bit of a battle today, but they did pretty good.  Poor Landon just doesn't understand that sometimes his big brother just doesn't want him by his side 24/7.  Of course we try to remind Zane that he needs to be nice and needs to let Landon play too - but we also know that it's important for Zane to have his own friends at times and do his own thing.  It's a fine balance that we are all still trying to figure out!

It was great to see these kids together again though!
