Vacation Post 3

After 2 nights at the Legoland Hotel, we moved south down to San Diego and checked into our new home for the last two nights...but not until after another fun filled day at Legoland and the Sea Life Aquarium!

We had breakfast in the Legoland hotel each morning - it was a fabulous buffet included with our room rate and it was delicious!  They even had a buffet just for kids - it was low to the ground - the boys loved scooping up their own food each morning!

A Lego Family!

Love this picture of Zane helping Landon get buckled!

He had to be 6 to ride this ride....shhhhh!!!!

Not ready for fall yet :(
Before I move on to hotel #2 - a couple quick videos of some of the fun hotel #1 offered!

Ok, moving on to San Diego now - nothing like a hotel right on the ocean (although, I will admit the seals "talking" all night long did get a little annoying)!  This hotel came with 3 pools and 3 waterslides - yep, the boys were in heaven yet again!

After some swim time we headed out to dinner and to the boardwalk to check it all out - I could've spent hours down there - but I live with 3 boys and they are not fans of walking a boardwalk and going into touristy shops - oh well, saved me a few bucks I'm sure!

And back to the hotel to sleep!

Vacation Post 2

We headed to Legoland the minute it opened the next morning and stayed until it closed!

Waiting in line for his first ride of the day!

Full size Volvo made out of...you guessed it - Legos!

We all got a little wet on one of the rides!

Josh & Zane got SOAKED on another ride!!

Always a kid when Legos are around!

In Lego heaven!

X-Wing took 32 people 4 months to build...I wonder how many blisters the all ended up with!

After a long day at Legoland - it was back to the hotel for some fun in the pool!

Zane showing us his underwater skills!

Landon's underwater skills!

Kid has NO FEAR around the water - its really scary to be quite honest.

Vacation Post 1

Sort of last minute we booked a trip to San Diego to take the boys on a quick vacation and focused our trip around Legoland!  We were fortunate enough to stay in the new Legoland Hotel for our first two nights!  This hotel was nothing short of spectacular!  A dream come true for any Lego lover out there!

After a little countdown - the day had finally come!

The boys did great on the plane - thanks to a couple of iPads!
To think when we were kids, we had to color or read to make time go by on an airplane!!

First stop - Josh's favorite California restaurant - 50/50 Slaters!
Highly recommend it if you are in the CA area anytime!

After stopping for dinner we headed to the hotel!  The boys couldn't believe their peepers when we stepped foot inside that place and honestly, neither could I!  I told Josh that I don't think I've ever taken so many pictures of "things" and not people in my life - but the Lego creations all over the hotel (and later all over Legoland) just excited me!  I just couldn't get over how many Legos there were and how creative people are/were!

First - onto our room...

The boys were in heaven - a bunk bed AND their very own TV!

This little guy was on top of a treasure safe - boys had to do a scavenger hunt to
figure out the code to get in and claim their booty!

On the wall above our bed.

On the bathroom wall.
Now, onto some of the awesome figures and features of the hotel...

There were "pools" of Legos.all.over!

The bathrooms signs cracked me up!
