Afternoon Sounders

Today was our only afternoon Sounders game of the season :(  I don't know why they had to schedule all of the games at night this season, but we really enjoy the afternoon games.  Today was no different...we couldn't have asked for better weather!  Zane joined Josh and I to the game today and as usual he had fun eating until his little heart was content and watching the boys play!  I always pop our own popcorn at home and portion it out into sandwich bags when we take Zane to the games (popcorn is his favorite thing to eat while watching the game - even if at home on the TV), but today I totally forgot to do that.  Of course he wanted popcorn as soon as we got to the game.  We of course got some for him, but I had to really just watch him eat it (he would never eat the whole bag) so I could kind of guesstimate how much he ate so I could again guesstimate the amount of carbs he ingested.  My guesses paid off this time I guess...his blood sugars stayed in check the rest of game and so far into tonight - sometimes I am so good (and trust me, sometimes I am so bad)!  It was a great game and it didn't hurt that they won too!!!

We ran into some friends of ours before the game and had to snap a couple of quick pictures since the older boys and the mama's were dressed alike!!

Yay Sunshine!

As I was driving home from work and picking the boys up last night I decided that we needed to take advantage of the sunny weather we are having because God knows it won't last for long!  After dinner, we headed over to Steel Lake and Zane played until his heart was content on the play structure and Landon just clung to me.  For some reason Landon wasn't too interested into venturing off to the play structure...maybe it was just too intimidating to him or something?  Anyways, we all had fun and it was a great way to soak up a few rays before the sun went down!

Gymnastics

Tonight was one of Zane's last gymnastics class for awhile and he did GREAT!  He has been dying to go into the "foam pit" and so far they never have, but he's been relentless about asking!  Tonight it paid off, when he asked, his coach told them that if they all listened really well that they would be able to go at the end!  I wish I could've gotten a better picture, but this was the best I could do!

Playdate with the Dyk Boys!

My friend Lori is lucky enough to not work two days a week and so every once in a great while I get a wild hair to take one of her days off as a vacation day and we have a playdate with our boys!  The last one we had was when Landon was less than 3 months old, I only remember that because I was still on maternity leave - so needless to say it was time for another one!  It was our turn to host and I think that all 4 boys had a great time!  Thanks for making the drive guys!  I hope we don't wait another year to do it again!

Andrew & Mason's turn to drive!

Just a cute picture of Mason that I snapped :)

Adventures with Georgie

Zane's BFF Brooklyn has a class pet and last night was Brooklyn's turn to bring Georgie (the stuffed monkey) home!  The task for each child when they bring Georgie home is to have an "Adventure" with Georgie and then draw a picture about the adventure and then tell the class all about it the next day during circle time!  Brooklyn chose to have Zane over for "breakfast for dinner" as her adventure with Georgie - the three of them had a great time and enjoyed their pancakes, eggs and sausage for dinner!

Eye Follow-Up

Zane was due for his 3 month follow-up from his last eye exam, they wanted to just make sure that the glasses were working for him and he had the right prescription.  The timing for his follow-up couldn't have been better!  One of my best friends Jen just landed herself a job with Group Health as an optometrist!  Zane had a little trouble cooperating the entire exam last time, but I knew he could see Jen that he'd have no trouble at all and I was right!  Zane did wonderful yesterday, he was never asked more than one time to do something!  Dr. Kannberg-Nybo did a fabulous job with my little man, welcome to Group Health Jen, so happy for you and so happy for me, haha!  Oh and in case you are wondering, the glasses he has are perfectly fine for now!
