Two-Wheelin'
Landon has mastered his balance bike and we knew he was ready for a two-wheeler pedal bike...but he didn't know he was ready! We've had the pedal bike for a couple months now and every once in awhile he would attempt it, but quickly turn it in for the balance bike. Today - he did it, he started riding the 2-wheel pedal bike; I am so proud of him! I absolutely love to see the look on a child's face when they master something they have been trying so hard to do!

Track Club - 1st Meet
Zane's first track meet was tonight at Renton Memorial Stadium! He did so good! We had no idea what we were doing at first, it took us awhile to find our groove on the way things are run (no pun intended, haha) at these events, but I think we figured it out! Each kid can choose any 3 events they want to do and they can do different events at each meet. Zane changed his mind on which events he wanted to compete in at least 10 times in the last week! I noticed today he was changing his mind again based on what a friend of his was choosing - I kindly stepped in and had to remind him to do what HE wanted to do and not what his friend wanted to do; oddly enough, he changed his mind again - but this time back to what he originally decided on today!
He did great! He learned a lot! He is already excited for the next meet!
Long Jump - 2nd place
50 Meter Dash - 4th place
400 Meter Dash - 3rd place

School's Out {for summer}
Woohoo - school's out for the boys!!! This was always a day I looked so forward to as a kid - my boys seem to really just roll with it for now, but I'm sure as they get older they'll realize how cool summer break is over school!
I like to take photos of the boys on their first and last days of school just to compare how much they've grown over the year. I'm really bad about taking the same photo each time...I wish I was better about making sure they were always standing the same spot and I in the same spot to get a good representation of just how much they've grown. But since I'm not consistent, we will all just use our imaginations; mmmm-k?!
First up - my big 2nd grader now! Oddly enough, I think he actually looks younger today than on the first day of school (probably b/c he isn't wearing his glasses and the sun was shining right in his eyes; oops).

Next up - my big Pre-K boy! Landon did great his first year of preschool; we can't wait to see what Pre-K brings! I can really see how he has grown between his two photos - still my baby though!

Track Club
Zane joined the Snoqualmie Track Club for his summer "sport" and as you can probably guess is loving it. This kid has no boundaries when it comes to sports...he tries it, he likes it. He has a lot of interest in long jump and per his coach looks like "the one to beat"; we'll see. He also is liking all of the running...long and short distance. Tonight he ran the 800 and came in 2nd and was in 1st the entire time until he pulled a muscle in his leg; poor kid was in so much pain. But he finished and did great! I really hope that leg heals up before his meet on Thursday!
Can't wait to see where this kid goes!

Bike Rodeo
The annual Bike Rodeo (kids bike safety fair) was this past Saturday - as per the ushe; kids had fun!
On to Pre-K
Landon is officially onto Pre-K and to celebrate the end of the school year there was a school picnic at Miss Katy's house. Miss Katy lives on a large piece of property with tons of land for the kids to run wild, a beautiful view of Mt. Si and horses to feed - we lucked out with the weather! Now onto summer vacation!!!
