Goats and Chocolate Cake

Did you know you could rent goats of Craigslist?  I had never heard of such a thing, but apparently its not that unheard of at all!  Some good friends of ours (Bruce and Trina) rented 2 goats for a month for $50 off Craigslist to come "clean up" their yard.  The goats were dropped off about 2 weeks ago by a guy in a HONDA ACCORD and as soon as one of them got out of the car Trina could tell right away she was pregnant.  The goat owner said that he just figured out the night before that the goat might be pregnant (ha, yeah right!) anyway, they put the goats in their back yard and the goats got to work.  Yesterday, Bruce and Trina's baby Jonah turned 1 (his party was today, more on that later) - well, Jonah now has to share his birthday with a...goat!  Yep, Floppy the pregnant goat had her little 'kid' yesterday in their backyard!  Now, not many people know this, but I LOVE goats, I want a goat for a pet so bad!  Yes, my husband too feels that I am very weird in this crazy want that I have, but I think they are so stinkin' cute!  You can imagine how excited I was today to head over for Jonah's party so I could meet these little cuties (one VERY little cutie)!

You cannot tell from these pictures, but Landon LOVED the goats.  He absolutely squealed with
excitement every time he got near one.  It looks like he's about to cry in these pictures, but
honestly he was so excited.  The goats seemed to like him too, one even attempted to lick his face, haha (no worries, I didn't let that happen)!

After oo'ing and awe'ing over the goats, we headed back into the house for a little party time!  Jonah was born 6 weeks early, but only stayed in the hospital for a week (or 10 days) after birth and has showed no signs of slowing down since!  Jonah is bigger than Landon is - crazy!  And I might add, Jonah was totally showing Landon up in the "walking" department, ugh!!!

Bouncing Birthday

My great friend Karena's son Luke turned 3 (I can't believe he's 3) and his birthday party was on Saturday! I forgot my camera, so unfortunately we didn't get very many pictures at all...but did manage to capture a couple on Josh's phone.  Sadly, not one of those pictures was of the birthday boy himself :(  But trust me, Luke was there, he was having fun and looked adorable as always!

Here are few bouncing pictures we did manage to capture though.

This slide was awesome!  It was SO fast!  My friend Sara and I decided to have a
race.  I think she won, but I got a nice "rug burn" type injury on my arm, so that
should count as a sympathy win I think?!

Paparazi Entertainment

Landon was getting very restless at Zane's soccer last Thursday and since the kid is so stubborn and won't start walking I am forced to hold him the entire time.  Normally Landon doesn't mind me holding him and he will just watch the kids play, but last Thursday he wasn't as amused!  So I just decided to take lots of pictures of him over and over and he kinda liked it, haha!  None of them turned out that great, but he was at least entertained for a few minutes!

Cute

Just because I think they are cute - here are two pictures of my adorable kiddos :)

Time Saver

Zane has learned how to buckle himself in folks...this is a big step in his independence, haha!  And a huge time-saver for mommy!  Now when I'm getting Landon buckled into his car-seat, Zane can open his door, climb into his booster, close his door and buckle himself up just in time for me to get into my seat!  Its the little things that excite me!

Sunday

Saturday's sickness lurked into Saturday night when Zane was hit with a pretty rough GI bug.  Thankfully, he woke up Sunday feeling much better!  Landon's cold was still really bothering him all day (and therefore, I'm expecting a rough night with him tonight - sleep is overrated) so we kept him home most of the day.  I did decide to dress them in their rugby shirts today that they've never worn and of course I found them adorable! We headed out for a quick trip to Costco and that was all Landon left the house today.

After I got Landon down for a nap; Zane and I headed out to go see The Lorax in Imax 3-D (my 1st time seeing a 3-D movie) - way cool!  The movie was GREAT - we both loved it.  I have already told Josh that I want to buy it as soon as its out on DVD!  Zane did great through the movie, wore the glasses at least 3/4 of the time and occasionally tried to "grab" the objects on the screen!  It was so fun having a little midday date with my favorite 4 year old!!  Very glad he's feeling better too!

Saturday

Both boys were hit with pretty rough colds (and then some) this weekend so I'm glad we didn't have a lot planned.  We decided we'd head to Coulon Park on Saturday to let the boys out in the fresh air for a bit.
Zane had a really good time at the park and has asked many times about going back!

Landon really seems to be hit a lot harder than Zane this time around and it doesn't help that Landon is teething like crazy too!  Poor kid had a hard time enjoying the park - so we didn't stay too long.

I will say, there's nothing much sexier than seeing a guy pushing a stroller :)
