Landon didn't get the memo that to make mommy extra happy would be to sleep in past 6:30 a.m. on her birthday - so my day started out early! We had some cuddles in bed while I half slept and he watched Chuggington while we waited for Zane to get up and daddy to get home from work! Once daddy was home and Zane was up - they showered me with gifts! I'm all set for pedicures and hair cut/colors for awhile - yahoo!
Once Josh went to take his nap (from working all night) the boys and I headed out to my brother's house in Puyallup to visit my new nephew! This was Landon's first time meeting his cousin baby Michael (as he calls him)! Landon got a little jealous with me holding baby Michael for so long, but he did really well and really enjoyed him and talked about him a lot throughout the day. No better way to spend my birthday morning than holding a sweet baby like him!
One of the coolest things that happened this day doesn't have a picture to go with it - but I want to remember it. There is a store in downtown Sumner that I have always wanted to go to - its called Persnickity Awesomeness Emporium. Its a refurbished store - the ladies who own it make signs and re-furbish furniture and sell it - this decor is 100% me. Anyways...I had mentioned to a good friend of mine {Brenda} that I thought I might stop by that store on my way back home since I was in the area. She mentioned she would try to join me (since she lives very close)...by the time I was going to head there, she was not able to join me anymore. The boys and I headed in and one of the women who works there asked if by chance I was Lisa - I said "yes". She handed me a card. Brenda had gone down before me and dropped off a birthday card with a gift card to the store in it for my birthday. SO COOL! What an awesome feeling. I bought an awesome sign that is now hanging above our bed (maybe I'll try to post a pic later). Its nice to have great friends like that - thanks again Bren!
After all that excitement, we headed back home where Josh was waiting for us! We headed out again and went to dinner at The Ram - it was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S! I enjoyed two "skinny" cocktails and they too were yummers! After dinner we did a little shopping and headed home! It was a wonderful way to spend the inauguration of my 36th year!
