Girls Night Out

I co-hosted my good friend Jen's Bridal Shower yesterday and did a really crappy job of taking pictures...but I did much better when we went out later!

After the shower a few of the girls (and I) headed down to Tacoma to eat at The Ram on Ruston Way and then we headed to Comedy Underground for a comedy show! It was so much fun to get out with the girls, even if by default I was the DD!!

T-Ball

Zane was so happy to see daddy come home today from his camping trip! He was especially excited when he got to go outside and play with his new T-ball set with daddy! It was fun to watch the boys through the screen door, they were having a lot of fun. We've learned Zane can bat with either hand, but prefers to hold and swing the bat one-handed, haha!

Packing on the Pounds.

For those of you interested in seeing my plump self, here is a picture of my growing body (wish I could just say belly, but its everywhere) and my little man! Doesn't look like I'll be making a small baby this time around either, dangit!

The darn cat seems to get himself into so many of our pictures!

Grasslawn Park

We went to the coolest park yesterday for a birthday party; Grasslawn Park, in Redmond. I was amazed at the size and complexity of their play structures. Many of the structures were way over Zane's coordination at this point, but he still had fun and I had fun watching him when I wasn't almost having heart attacks because I was afraid of him falling! Definitely a park we'll have to visit again.

Tent.

Josh is headed out for a guys camping/kayaking trip this weekend and to prepare for it he set the tent up tonight to make sure there were no rips or holes that we may have forgotten about! Zane had so much fun watching daddy put it up and getting inside afterwards...he kept telling me he wanted to sleep in it! He was a little upset when I told him that he had to stay home with boring ol' mom this weekend while daddy went camping, but I'll make sure to come up with a fun activity for us to do!

Day out with Thomas.

Yesterday we trekked out to Snoqualmie to spend an afternoon with Thomas the Train! Zane loves trains (although not necessarily Thomas) and we knew he'd love the experience of riding on a real train! We were not very good about taking pictures, but the few we did take do a good job of capturing the day!

Swimming.

After Zane's nap today we drove out to our friend Brenda, Kennedi & Tate's house (their daddy had to work today too) to hang out in/by their pool! Zane had a BLAST to say the least! He even unintentionally dunked his head a few times and guess what...much to his surprise, he survived!!! Normally when his head goes under for any reason (whether in lessons I force him or accidentally) you'd think the world was ending...but this time when he would slip and go under he usually smiled about it (although still wouldn't do it on command)! Anyway, it was a great trip out to their house and I look forward to more times by the pool this summer...that's assuming we are invited back!
